About prbesch
I started building models, with my Father, at the age of 6 or 7. I started watching him pin the balsa formers to plans on top of a very special darkwood board, in whichI had managed to keep up untill not too long ago, and I was hooked. Eventually I was building plastic kits on my own and finally settled on 1/35 scale armor and 1/72 scale airplanes. I am partial to the Panzerjagar and F4 Phantom families but I stray all of the time. While living in the Chicago area I belonged to the Butch O'Hare chapter of IPMS and in the late '80s and early '90s was fortunate to be able to teach kids how to build models at the local Park Dist. Since '97 I've lived in Central Illinois and basically just support my local hobby shop, Hammers Hobbies, in Springfield.
