Not entirely new as I used to post on armorama a little bit and a long time ago, but Im new here. I think. Cant remember posting here anyway.

Im here cos I bought a kit woo hoo , after a long absence from modeling I decided that I had to have a Spitfire, I reckon everyone should have at least one in their collection.

I bought the Revel Spitfire Mkii in 1/48th and it looks simple enough, will post pics etc as I build it.

In the meantime heres some rather bad pics I took while on an outing with some patients I look after to an airmuseum in Scotland.

They really are bad btw I appologise for this , you should see the pics of the planes in the air, Oh dear.













Not even going to attempt to name them cos someone will correct me "Actually thats not a jumbo jet thats a Spitfire" kinda thing.

I myself have just got back into modelling, and like you I have decided to start with a Spitfire although I have chosen the Tamiya spitfire Mk VB kit to build. Should arrive tomorrow morning Yipeeee!

Sorry but I can't agree, I think that everyone should have at least 10+ Spitfires in their collection Sorry Rob, I couldn't resist.

You can NEVER have too many Spitfires!

My goal Is to build at least one of each mark in 1/48, from prototype to Mk46/47.

So far only One MkII (Tamiya 1/48) and one MkV Trop (Tamiya 1/48) is done!

But I have quite a Spitfire collection in 1/48, 1/32 and 1/24 to choose from now!

Btw Rob, the Revell 1/48 Spitfire MkIX Is a Hasegawa kit and the Revell 1/32 MkII is a Hasegawa MkV with a new wing from Revell!

Both are pretty good kits!

I do not know if I agree with you guys. I would go for one of each of the ME 109s - from A to K. Anyway, hope you enjoy your Spitfire.
