I have recently completed Eduard's Weekend Edition Albatros D. III. I built it out of the box with the exception of rigging wires. This was my second attempt at rigging wires and, while some are not quite correctly spaced, I am happy with the result. Also my first attempt at wood finish using techniques described on this site. I really like the Weekend Editions as they make me feel that I am just building for fun and can tolerate the mistakes. One in particular was attaching the wings and struts, something I still need to figure out. Enjoy.

By the way, this was my second attempt at installing full rigging wires. I definitely learned a lot from the posts on this site about how to do it.

Mike,

For your second attempt at rigging, she looks good! Your woodgrain looks good also. I hope you enjoyed the build, and I hope you build more, because this site and forum is a fun place with lots of people willing to help. WWI is such a interesting subject, it's addictive. Thanks for sharing your build!

Jeff
