A few people noticed a flying disc in one of the pics of my Tamiya Fw 190D-9 I posted a few days ago...here is what happened.

From the Third Reich X-Files:
At a Luftwaffe airfield in southern Germany in 1944 the ground crew notice a silver colored disc shaped aircraft slowly moving towards the air field, no shots were fired because it did not appear hostile...

The craft approached one of the hangers and begin to land (notice the photographer has scurried inside the hanger!)

More photographs to follow...

The army arrives to ''capture'' the aircraft...

One of the soldiers was ordered to approach the disc and touch it but before he could touch it the craft shot straight up into air and sped off at very high speed. This photograph shows the disc just after it retracted its landing gear and before it went into high speed flight...

The UFO was never captured but was seen several other times during the war by both sides, the Allied pilots called it the ''Foo Fighter''.

You know there really were mysterious balls of light seen by both allied and axis pilots during the war. These lights maneuvered in and out of formations and have never been adequately explained! Strange indeed. Don't get me started...ha ha Russell

Thanks guys!

Maybe the disc was one of those of German origin? There were several designs on the drawing boards at the end of the war, this could have been a prototype that was under test.

Here is the only known color photograph of the disc...
