there may be some more building to be done on this kit, because its tail turret now is straight off the original Lancaster kit,however this is not really anything like a Manchester tail turret. what I've been told today is that the rear turret from a shorts Stirling, whilst again, not the turret on a Manchester does bear a lot better resemblance to the original Manchester turret.

the good thing is that the rear turret is fully removable because this made it easier to paint the fuselage, and i was sure that if i put the turret in as intended, and not removable without wrecking the thing a more suitable turret would become available to me!

so i have a spare Stirling turret, and a vac form transparency so i can get this issue sorted out, and as i still have an airfix Lancaster in my stash the lanc/manc turret won't go to waste either!
