Beautiful Mirage, John. Well doen on the NMF!

Nice looking Aussie Mirage, Damian. Is that the markings I donated back in the day?

I have made some more progress on the camouflage on my Matchbox MiG 21. Pictures to follow soon.

Glad to see them come to use, Damian. The donor kit is in storage for the next 2 years, so nobody is missing them.

A little more progress on my little MiG-21. Next are a gloss coat and the decals.

@ Andy: Congratulations! That´s a very fine looking B-58!

@ Jesper: Good progress! That becomes a cool looking Egyptian MiG!

In the meantime I have applied some decals on my Draken:

The Flygvapnet knows how to dayglo...

By the way, my source of inspiration:

Both books are very recommendable.

@Andy: The B-58 looks sweet, the different metal tones on the panels look great.

@Sebastian: The Draken is looking very good, nice work.

Oops.

ICM's decal placement instructions are not clear about the fact that the doors in the cheatline are not overlays. I don't know why they chose to do that, but it resulted in this huge ugly gap that I'm going to have to fill somehow, and now all the windows are out of position.

The decals are also terrible. They're fragile, they tear, shatter and/or roll up at the slightest provocation, and do not want to be persuaded into moving once they stick to the model. Im going to have to find replacements, so this build just became a hangar queen until I do

Thanks for the comments on the MiG, guys.

Very cool build, Andy. the NMF looks great.

Sebastian, nice progress on the Draken. I like your subtle shading/weathering of the panel lines. Looking forward to see it done.

Thanks torch the camo was done with pc's of printer paper cut to shape.then I rolled pc's of masking tape up and tacked everything in place so that the paper hover's just above the surface.this gives it that nice feathered effect you have to be careful to spray strait at it though or you will spray under the edge and make for more work

Wow!
I have to say that this campaign produces one jaw-dropper after
another. Excellent work!
I guess the campaign wrap-up will be most awesome!

Hi!

I got this Eduard MiG-21MF in my stash that I think would make a good entry, but I made a little bit of a start on it last year. What's this campaign's policy on started kits?

Here it is. No painting done, mostly just parts removed from sprues, few parts assembled (wheels, wheel wells, fin).

Would it be okay to enter with this?
