I'm in!
I think I will do "the usual" WWII airfield with a bf 110, a truck and a few men servicing the machine.
I will probably use one half of my Eduard Royal Class 1/48 kit - it has been staying in the closet for way too long now...

Man! That's a thirsty plane.
Looking closer, you really notice the seams in the skin. It makes me wonder what that looks like in color. I'll have to look around now.
Awesome photo find, Reg!

Reg, Awesome photo! Do they make PBY's in 1/700? And what's that biplane? I like the fighters (Wildcats?) stored under the PBY wings too.

That is a wonderful picture.
The fighters are almost certainly Wildcats, that's what those escort carriers carried.
The bi-plane I'm guessing is a Grumman Duck, judging from what looks like a bulbous float projecting forward beneath the prop.

It is also possible that as part of this project (along with the A-10 hanger diorama) I will be using leftovers of architectural model card to make an airport diorama for a couple of airliner kits...oh what a great excuse to buy more stuff lol

Kinda of thinking about joining this campaign. First one I've ever done.

I am planning to build a FW190D on a base which meets your listed rules but there is an intonation that the dio has to be based on a picture. That true? If NOT then I'm in.

The 190 will just be sitting there alone with its cowling removed and MG bays exposed. Doing it as an homage to my late grandfather who got me into building when I was a kid.

There is no requirement in this campaign for the scene to be based on a picture.
Some of us have been throwing out various pictures just to spur ideas.

This promises to be a really interesting Campaign.
A quick query to our leader, rule 7 on the enlistment page, might be requiring of deletion ?

Cheers, D

Sweet! All signed up.

I normally go all out with a dio but for this campaign the work will be pretty simple. I'm just gonna make a fw-190d under maintanence. Jumo engine fully exposed. gun bays open. cockpit open. Lots of PE and AM parts which i have never worked with before so should be fun!

mmmhh, pretty simple, you say. That's how I started off for this campaign as well, taking into account that my campaign "finishing on time" record is already horrible.

But as usual, some devious spirit took me elsewhere

I am planning somehting too huge to be true for this one

I am also looking very much forward to this one but some of the rules will need a kind of free minded interpretation in my case

some examples:

2) The Aircraft Must be the main subject, but can include other elements such as oil cans, tents, cars etc, let your imagination take over !

I am affraid that imagination has taken over, hope you still find an airplane

4) Kits may already be started if only a few parts have been glued. The campaign leader will decide if the entry will be allowed.

whoeps this will be a difficult one

5) no starting before the campaign and the model should be done at the end of the campaign.

with my track record ...

7) Entries cannot be used for more than 1 campaign.

impossible, but i guess this was not very relevant for this campaign anyway

10) and last but not least enjoy yourself and Learn!.

Now this is the easy part

lol. Guess I should have clarified: The subject matter will be simple. The execution will be... involved
