When I write my review:

Are we allowed to include our evaluation of the vendor selling us the kit or accessories? I.E. price....packaging......timely delivery.....customer service after the sale?

That's got nothing to do with the kit nor the kit's manufacturer, so it really has no place in a review of any one kit.

That being said, many of our members share their impressions of the many vendors out there on an informal basis. There's nothing to keep you from adding in your feelings. Search the vendor's name to see what may have been said of them in the past. Don't forget to look in the other Kitmaker sites to see what our colleagues think.

It would be my opinion that vendor information be kept separate, especially if they are not the vendor. And for the price, especially if it is sold else where should not be judged, as others may sell for more or less. I would think it best to keep the review to the kit only.

Thank you both

I understand your views and appreciate your help.

There is always politics or protocol if you will.

I'm on board now.

If I am reading you right. An article would be a better choice.

My experiences getting back into modeling revolving around my first kit?

Just a thought. Contributing is an ongoing process. You both know that.....for sure.

There is a lot to write about. Vendors.....E-bay.......tools......lack of local shops....etc. it's not about the prices.....but that has validity. Out of production parts as well.

Does that make sense?

John,
That would make better sense for an article. You are correct.

Looking forward to reading that!

Cheers,
Jim

Thanks Jim

I will make it so.

Should be interesting. I am the average modeler from a decade ago getting back into it again. A very common situation. I think it will help others understand that.....ya it's tough.....but not impossible. Bottom line......we are all in this together.
