Hi all .. Well i have another idea for a Campaign how a bout a james bond aircraft one .. Thats any aircraft the appears in any of the bond films ? there is quite a lot to choose from everything from a Cessna float plane to Concorde you could either try to copy the colors and liveries from the aircraft in the film or choose your own .

What do you think ?

There's a really great Varig Electra in Moonraker. It's in the background of the cable car scenes in Rio. It's the best scene in the whole movie. Everyone else was watching Roger Moore and I was watching the Electra. Oh, and the Concorde landing a few scenes earlier. What? I know my priorities

This will do, just nicely.

That is a cool idea, though I think most of us would need a list of aircraft that are eligible. So if someone could start compiling a list that would be excellent, I know some people have already started throwing out ideas.

Don't forget the rocket belt and the C-97

Then there's the silly flying saucer from the 1967 Casino Royale, and the C-47 the Indians jump out of ("I've always wanted to say this: MEEEEEE!") at the end.

Look closely; those are OH-6As, not AH-6s. 4 blade rotors and V tail, not 5 blades with a T tail. The IMPDB contributors got that wrong.

The General Dynamics F-111 from Octopussy (1983) would also be a good choice for me; I was stationed at RAF Upper Heyford where part of the film was shot. During the time I was there (late 80's), the supply squadron had the Octopussy sign displayed in one of their buildings.

I was sceptical about an aerial campaign about James Bond, but after seeing the list, if I were to join, it would definitely be the B-17 in Thunderball. That was a scene-stealer for sure. (As was the flying AMC in The Man with the Golden Gun)

The only thing which even approaches that shape is the Minicraft 172 which is a decidedly smaller airframe in all dimensions. You'd need to scratch-build it.

There are solid models available in thirty-twoth scale, but they're ridiculously expen$ive.

I am softening to this concept. I dont care for bond, but planes in movies, like trains in movies, is something I do enjoy.

If this goes, and if I finish, I will be proposing a Jacky Chan movie campaign.
