Trumpeter is the most recent kit of the A-10, all the others were designed in the 80's or earlier and would not have the latest antennas and sensors. Current A-10's are often seen flying with AIM-9 Sidewinders. Italerie may have these, but the others don't.

Some say that Monogram has the best A-10 kit. Agree? I'm also on a hunt for it.

I don't know about theit 1/48, but I did their 1/72 and it was a putty hound! The last three 1/48 Monogram (C-47, A-26 and B-25) A/C I did also required a lot of filling and filing.

Yes the 1/48 Monogram offering is known to be the most accurate and detailed of the 1/48 offerings. Not up to date for the A-10s flying in DS or whatever....but is better than the Tamiya offering....didn't know that Italeri made a 1/48 A-10....so can't comment on that....would love to have the Trumpeter 1/32 one....but size and cost of it....ahhh well maybe someday.

The Monogram A-10 is the best but still a bear to build. The Tamiya A-10 is more of a prototype so needs to be updated extensively, throw away the cockpit for it represents a prototype as well and will not work for even early service aircraft. You can modify a Monogram cokcpit to fit the Tamiya A-10. The Blackbox Resin update needs a lot of work to fit in the Monogram A-10. The Italeri A-10 is a repop of the old Esci kit from the mid 80's and was very crude and had a very plain cockpit. The seat is way off on this kit. But the only bonus was a separate GAU-8/A 30 mm cannon which you could display out of the airplane.
This is what we have for now. Hopefully someone can come up with an updated version, or you can go town on any of these three kits to bring them to a current or Desert Storm version, a lot of work but worth it.

RC Warthog, A-10 are manufactured by GWS. You can find them widely in the states. Its made of foam and runs on twin motor set up. Very agile, if configured with brushless motor.

If this might entice you to fly, GWS release an A-4 skyhawk too..with a 75mm single ducted fan
