Hi

Looks like I will make the deadline after all, had a very productive weekend.
Had some problems with my wash which was way to dark, but it looks very weathered now.
Will post some picks later.

Cheers

With the deadline coming close I have prepared the Shooting Star for the paint. Since there was a lot of sanding, im expecting a lot of issues with the metal finish.

I’m in! A bit late, but this is a simple build.

Actually, it isn’t even really a build - only a paint job! This is a crashed Typhoon fighter-bomber, some sort of game piece by Flames of War in 1/100 scale.

Only a couple of weeks... gotta rush!

The master for this “kit” was well done, but I thought the bullet holes looked cheesy, so I filled them in prior to priming. Otherwise, I left everything as is. It is pretty complete, except that no markings were provided.

Now to find some 1/100 scale RAF roundels and codes...

Any ideas?

Good Day

The finish line is very close just some fine detail left. A rather challenging kit to build, had fit issues and a mistake from my side my wash was too dark and that created a very very weathered F-14 .
On the plus side the decals were amazing and the nice added extras a bonus, will post some more pics later and in the gallery.

I got into this kit w/o posting a start photo. I'll give it a go in the time left. At 8 parts and no filler or paint it fits with in the NMT 50% started anyhow.

Progress on my Eduard Bf110.

Since I took this photograph things have gone a bit pear shape and my weathering (which is always a bit heavy handed) has made a bit of mess of things. Will share more soon.

Gents I have had a bit of a mishap. While removing the Tamiya masking tape from my plane, after masking the silver leading edges, the tape pulled about an inch of paint off my wing. I will have to repaint the wing and used all of matching paint. I will have to mix up a replacement shade.

I am there fore asking for a 2 week extension to finish up repainting and the decals. If its not possible I will have to drop out. I was rather POed at this mishap. Thanks for an interesting campaign.

Tom

The basic colors are on my 1/100 scale crashed Typhoon. As for markings, well, still trying to figure that out...

This campaign is extended until 14/12/15. I expect this will be the only extension, so get to work everyone!

Yessir!

The Flames of War Typhoon model is well mastered, but the lack of decals in the kit is a major weakness.

Fortunately, I was able to scrounge up some markings: the roundels came from a 1/72 scale Eastern Express Gloster Whittle E28/39 Pioneer kit, and the codes PK G are from an old Microscale RAF Aces decal sheet (72-0303). I got lucky – the 1/72 roundels for the tiny Gloster Pioneer and the gray codes for E. Horbaczeweski’s Mustang were a little smaller than the RAF standard, so they worked ok for the Tiffy in 1/100.

"This campaign is extended until 14/12/15. I expect this will be the only extension" , super i thought i would not make it but,..

Here is my creation:

Nice details

But the fit of the canopy and prop to the hulk is not that great however it's a cheap model so i cannot complain

Decals on today as i still was under the impression that it was the last day,..

Anyway, its a bit shiny because of the floor polish,.. it needs still a oil wash and a pit of pigments,..

Thanks

Hi there. I've been idle for a while but I think I will make it on time. I've started to an F8F Bearcat old Monogram mold in new Revell boxing. No photos yet sorry but it is keeping up good. I will try to cook it up as a VNAF bird.
