Thanks, and decals ready-mix from the kit ones and Aeromaster, Eagle strike for the insignia. Didn't like only the chevrons and will make masks for them, once the decals are sealed

Hi Venelin,

Really love the free-hand circles - some serious airbrushing skills you are displaying here! Rest of the plane isn't too bad either

Enjoying your build and looking forward to the next update.

Finishing with the markings, small corrections will be needed here and there. Also spraying RLM 71 on the yellow in the nose section of the plane and engine covers. Canopy will be fixed last, after the weathering.

Cheers!

Great paint job on the "Friedrich", Venelin! Especially those circles. Kudos! Is the spinner spiral painted or decal?

Thanks, Torsten!

Spiral is airbrushed with thin masking tape, I don't like decals for that job

All recent kits from Zvezda in 1/48 (Bf 109 F's, Yak-3, La-5, Pe-2 etc.) have very nice engines and detail overall, at low price, IMHO
I only hope they will continue that policy and improve further...

I will need new decals, so this build will wait a while, sorry for that It's my fault, shouldn't use the Zvezda ones from the start...

Thanks!

And it's nice to have some break from a build

Thanks!

Venelin,
Progress to date really is outstanding. Having to stop and wait for some replacement decals isn't my favorite reason for a break from finishing a build. Looking forward to your next update post.
Joel
