Hello,
There seems to be a new Dutch kitmanufacturer. It's got some exciting subjects which are about to be released. Although the Fokker CVI is announced for October, it's not available yet. I will certainly get one.

The box artwork is prime. Though the markings look Czechoslovac. (The term at the time.)

Those are absolute correct markings. But yes Czechoslovac markings look a bit like the Dutch ones

True.... On the Czechoslovak markings, hasn't the white and blue changed places, turned a quarter and don't they also lack the yellow center? Or am I mistaken?

That's not yellow, that's Orange. As with orange being the colour of the Dutch Royal Family. Hence the Dutch 'war cry' "Oranje Boven". If I'm not mistake the Dutch Royal Air Force still use the red - white - blue roundel today?

No worries Jan
It's easily missed in that picture anyway.
As an aside, the Mercedes star emblem on truck grilles has the same shape as the Royal Dutch Airforce roundel, and for many years the more patriotic Dutch Drivers added a coloured sheet behind the emblem to turn it into a depiction of said roundel. Quite funny if you consider the fact that Mercedes are of course a German marque...
Cheers

That is really nice. Some unusual subjects there. Especially the Douglas DB-8A. It could make for a very striking model with the orange/black markings and what looks like a nice camo scheme. Does anybody know the camo of these birds?
It looks like brown/grey/green?

Almost correct, accept grey should be sand. Funny thig with these Dutch birds from this period was the color underneath; brown. I built one of these 1/72 scale by MPM, nice kit.

There is no mentioning anymore on their site about the 48 scale Fokker CIV. Skipped?
Cheers, Nico
