China Mustangs
These are my three P51 Mustang (two P51D and a P51K) of the 23rd FG of the flying Tigers based in China during the year 1945. The P51D with the three bands (red, blue, white) is the machine of Lt. Coll C. Older, already pilot in the flying Tigers when they still were the AVG (American Volunteer Group) on which I've scratchbuilt the antenna careenage. The P51D with the black/yellow lightnings is the aircraft of Lt. Coll E. McComas, chief of the 118th TRS which joined the 23rd FG in 1944. And finally, the P51K n° 56 is the plane of Squadron Leader Clyde Slocumb of the 75th FS.

Hi Geoffroy, ..can you tell us about the decals ..? cheers
APR 25, 2010 - 05:45 AM
The decals for the McComas plane are from the Hasegawa boxing "Pacific Mustangs". The two other aircraft's decals are from a Skymodels decal sheet about the Mustang, they may be a little thick but are of a good quality.
