Hunting Swallows

Having decided on the placement of the downed ME, I softened the “earth” by rewetting it and imbedded the nose and engine nacelles to pile up some earth from the “skid”. Removing the aircraft I applied diluted white glue to the “earth” except for the “impact” areas, and the stone formation then applied a mixture of, course and fine grass to the dio.

The “stone formation”, which is a leftover from an old MatchBox kit, was painted neutral gray, then speckled with flat black by racking a stiff brush across the edge of a piece of plastic and letting the drops fall where they may.  A wash of Testor’s earth was then added, and while still wet a light coat of fine grass was added.

No apology public or otherwise needed, Bryan . It takes time to process these things and we all have lives other than Armorama to take care of. (as hard as that may be to believe sometimes) Holdfast - I've given it some thought, I'm just not sure it was serious thought.

Great job, great to see a dio showing an actual event that happened in WW2. Love the angle of the Mustang, I can hear that Merlin engine giving off that intimidating growl, nice job ,Wingman out.
