Hunting Swallows

After all was said and done a very light coat of fine grass was applied to the ME, along with a coat of dirt (real dirt, fine dust readily available here in Southern California).

Oh yes, the pilot is another of my Preiser figures with a head transplant. Seems his head gear was inappropriate. So, I used the head of the pilot from the kit on the Preiser body.

For those of you who noticed the sheep, thank you, that’s just one of the things I do. Seems there was empty space that needed filling and I placed some HO railroad sheep in the scene, painted cream with a wash of black. There is one point you country boys can help me out on. There was a point I was unable to determine in my research-do sheep really have those mold lines down their backs?

Lest you think the ME-262 was the only jet to challenge the Allies, it should be noted that the Arado Ar-234 Blitz jet Bomber also saw limited combat action. Ar-234 bombers flew in support of the “Battle of the Bulge” and in an effort to forestall the Allied invasion of Germany proper, in March 1945 Ar-234 Bombers repeatedly attacked the bridge at Remagen with 2500 lb. bombs. Some credit these attacks for the eventual collapse of the bridge.

Another dio?

No apology public or otherwise needed, Bryan . It takes time to process these things and we all have lives other than Armorama to take care of. (as hard as that may be to believe sometimes) Holdfast - I've given it some thought, I'm just not sure it was serious thought.

Great job, great to see a dio showing an actual event that happened in WW2. Love the angle of the Mustang, I can hear that Merlin engine giving off that intimidating growl, nice job ,Wingman out.
