One thing that makes me sad is the pile of boxes that still wait their lucky day... Too many unfinished (not even started) kits.. Plus one more to their "sad society" in some near, hopefully, future

I would love to post some pictures, but I am in the middle of a move and I just do not have the time (it is 9 a.m. - I'll go tomorrow morning, only a few boxes are packed and the car is still empty) I am sorry!

As for the C&M sadly only the two that are mentioned when following your link above are included (I like personalized models ):

1. Junkers D.I, s/n unknown, Belgium, late 1918.
2. Junkers D.I,c/í 5185/18, Western Front, Autumn 1918.

So I guess this is not Riga ....

Received my kit today and there is not much info / pictures that I can find. Does anyone know what the cockpit sidewall colors are? I am assuming that it is likely primed metal inside of aluminiun. Anyone have any good pics of the cockpit area? Thanks

I'll have to check but I think "Air Enthusiast" had an article by the late Pete Grosz on the Junkers. "Tin Donkey" if memory serves. Lots of images there.

This kit is taking some time to become available here in Australia ... so I just bought mine over the net, should get to me within a fortnight... I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this kit, for some reason I have always liked the look of this aircraft but never managed to get my hands on the Blue Max kit at a price I was willing to pay... this one will no doubt move to the upper ends of the build pile quite quickly for me!

My kit arrived today.
A fast glance, it looks really nice, corrugations looks good.
Only let down, is they aren't carried through to the inside surfaces, as I believe they should be. (Not an expert on this aircraft- !!! so correct me if I'm wrong)

I found the reference.

Air Enthusiast Five starting at Page 60. Titled; "The way to the world's first all-metal fighter." Pp.60- 76.

Concerning Junkers D.I 5185/18, it is a two toned camouflage machine photographed at Adlershof (Berlin Testing grounds for the German Luftstreitkrafte.) It was type tested to destruction between 23 Aug. - 13 Sept. 1918.

The cover art Junkers D.I was one of four found at Hombeck Belgium by Allied Intelligence teams on 21 January 1919. The two tone bands around the fuselage give speculation that it may have been flown in combat. Of the four at least two were still able to be flown with minor repairs ( tires) After having been left in the open for about three months. Four Fokker D.VII types on the same field had deteriorated so badly they were scrapped.
