If it wasn't for the box top on the pic I'd say I was looking at the real deal! Sweet ugly beast you got here Dave!

Whow! Pretty nice job out there. The weathering is good but you might have overdone it. Now the plane looks more like it had gone through many battles. The nose is too much white that it looks pretty different from the rest of the model. Anyways, congratulations and many more aircraft to be done

Thank you guys for your kind comment and encuragement.

I had used enermal wash, q-tips, and airbrush to achieve the weathering effect, I will later write an article for the site...

Thanks.

Dave, SWEET bird. As you saw mine was loaded to the hilt. Most Marines squadrons were land based in Nam to respond quickly when needed by the mud Marines. They could for go the external fuel tanks and load up, being that they were closer to the areas they were needed. This allowed them to carry much heavier bomb loads than one launched from a deck. Also the advantage of the concrete runways , made for longer take off runs in a loaded bird. Great job my manIf you are doing a plane that has seen alot of service, don't use all of the stencials. They were never replaced after the factory . Just painted over and sent up. Mav

Outstanding ! You made this phantom look exactly as it should be : mean and ugly. One of the most impressive aircraft ever built.

PS : I thought pigs were not allowed to fly ? You prove them wrong, Dave. This is one of the nicest aircraft paint jobs we've seen around here yet. I look forward to your article.
