Thanks for the comment, Eetu
I was planning to close the cockpit up, but since it is now left open I will add seatbelts. I think I will order some Eduard PE prepainted seatbelts.
I should not be a factory fresh aircraft, so I will go for light exhaust staining.

Hi Jesper
as for the silvering. I came across a nice tip recently on HS I think and I tried it on my Eduard Hellcat (works great)
It was recomended using Future/Klear as a Decal solution for small decals. Soak decals as usual, place a "drop" of Klear where the decal should be placed -- slide decal into position.
I then took away some Klear with a dry/wiped brush until the decal was in place ; the decal tweezers from Tamiya helped too. Furthermore I tried to press it on (worked too) .. then I brushed some more Klear on top of the decal ... great result when dry. BTW I had a layer of Klear as undercoat.
I am not sure if this works on larger decals but it's surely worth a try.
all the best
Steffen
P.S. I would try to repaint the area in the crosses .. e.g. mask with post it notes

Thanks for the tip. This is exactly the solution I have come up with although I use Vallejo gloss varnish instead of Future/Klear.
However, this was not the solution I used for the wing crosses. There I used a spirit based varnish which obviously did not work well.

Thanks for the comment, Arseny. I appreciate it.
I have now added some light exhaust staining. I am happy I did as the model seemed to "lack" something before. The seatbelts are not here yet, but will be added at a later date.
I have taken some new pictures in daylight. The details are more visible now, but yunfortunently the silvering of the top wing decals is also more visible now - as in reality. It was only Steffens eagle eyes that noticed it in the previous photos.
Comments are still welcome
