Looking great Ricardo.
It certainly is a bear of a fuselage.
Cheers,

ty hugh and terri.
Today i had to destroy a little of yesterdays work because another part was done and to fit it i had to cut the last one applyed a little bit shorter so this would look ok....
next step, work on the interior (maybe i'll do that in the weekend:))

well no modelling today, because i'm working on my new workbench.
(it has seperate working and painting booth)
I'm going to move to my attic because i had suffer from a small space workbench (its always messed up because of that) .
Its still under constrution, still misses some electric plugs, lamps, and a new whell chair so i can move from the working area to the painting one.
here she is at the moment...have to move all the equipment later on, and i still have to built a silent compressor.
well its a little better than the older (the new one has twice the size on the older one, and i have many shelves in the attic so i can set in order all my tools and materials, hope this means better models )

Good for you Ric ! Always nice to have more work room to build . I really know the feeling , for I don't have enough room myself and would like to change things around . Shoot some pic's when you have it finished .

decided to fit the wings to the plane, but they where a bit heavy so i had to put a piece of solide 5mm steel inside the wings so i could glue them to a hole drilled in the fuselage, putted some styrene in the gaps between the wings and the fuselage so the wings wouldn bent, now i have to sand them and its done.

Ricardo, the ONLY thing I don't like concerning this whole thread, is....
The chair in the new modeling spot looks horribly uncomfortable!
Great scratching project, fantastic results so far. I am truly impressed. The wing work you went through. The steering and control apparatus. All done well and with good pics. Kudos, brotha! Great job so far.
Keep going!

hi terri i have restarted it again after a break.
today i had been working in some flaws the wings had, because of the many layers of styrene being glued together, they had that look of a wood propeller, laminated wings, so i putted some milliput putty and sanded it till it looked ok, and i also have reworked one of the wings because they where a little bit diferent on the wing break, so i putted a little more styrene cutted to shape and sanded it till it looked exactly the same, and to finish it i putted some miliput to level the wing to the new piece of styrene.
sorry for my english its like my modeling skills nowadays....rusted
some photos of the work done in the end of the day.
miliput putty drying to be sanded tomorrow
Tomorrow i'll get back to him
PS - I'll finish it even if it takes a year, and i have the rule of not having 2 on the workbench

A new approach to the project, sometimes when we have the project stopped like i did for 2 months, when u reteurn to it you look it with other eyes, and since the begining something didnt feel right to me and today i spotted what was the problem....the observer location was in a wrong shap imagine a triangle ...currently or may i say yesterday the triangle was like this " V " and in that spot it should be like " / " do u understand what i mean... so i had to work it again its not finished some more sanding needed to get it to the right shape but its almost done, and i started the wing ribs effect turned out very good in the photos you cant notice but its really great because when the wing gets his paint job will look like the fabric its making waves in the ribs, in the photos they look big but i taked the ribs effect almost to the extreme with the sanding paper,0,1 or 0,2 height so very slim...
Im the only one who can really see it but if you thought the wings where ok now they are great...
observer spot...still a lot sanding to do

thank you terri but i have a lot of work before i put my hands on the engine
80 % of the transformation is completed, the last stage can only be achieved after tha fron of the plane its in place because its a tubular shape piece and it goes all the way to the observer place so i have to work on the shape after the all pieces are in place, so for now its done
had to remove the interior because i had to put some styrene on it so i could sand to the interior of the plane, a minor step back

Excellent work so far....made me go find my old plans for a stick and tissue rubber powered flyer...it doens't have any scale given though. The build shows how they printed the naval lozenge on the tissue paper to keep things "light" but correct looking.
