Here's the concept for final clearification. CAMPAIGN: Modern Naval Aviation from 1960 to TODAY.
That would include all Naval aircraft for 1960 to now to include Helos, V/STOL, and the LLBA (P-3 orion, C-9 skytrain, E-6 elint) So for clearification the Aircraft would have had to have eother NAVY or Marines on the side at somepoint in time in whatever language.
I was miss stated my restriction to PenPen. As even Marine Helos have been seen on carrier decks. OH yes a LHD, LPD, LHA are carries too so i guess Fuast can scratch build an LCAC if he realy wishs as "fly out" of an LHD. Does this help guys???? stug

any limit on how many projects we can build? I'm new to this group build stuff. So this will be my 1st time out :-) and by looking into the "waiting to be built" build-up, I have alot of Naval aircraft
that A-6 is going to be my biggest project. I'll be re-scribing all the panel lines, adding a Verlinden cockpit and Hasegawa stores. I'm trying to find Gulf War markings for it, but since the kit was discontinued, half the aftermarket for it has also been discontinued. I may wait alittle while before I start building that one

I say no limit on the kit number. I myself plan to enroll an F-14 Ausf Bombcat, and an A-1 Ausf H, or if time permits, an AH-1 Ausf W Panzerjagder Der Kobra. (++)

Well, lets limit it too 3 aircraft max per entrant, with say 6 months to finish all projects in the campaign. Now can some suggest catagories, or is just breaking it down by scale good enough??? any thought are welcome. stug

The scales should be good enough, but you could break the scales down to Navy and Marine Corps scales. I.E A 1/48 naval catagory and 1/48 Marine catagory. Helos I think should be in a catagory all their own due to the limited scales they come in.
Just a something I thought I would throw out there.

I am with Warlcok, we can have the following:
1. Fighter/Bomber
2. Helicopter
3. Others
the others would including like S-3, EA-6, E-2C, or Misc. Planes
Since Navy and Marines sometimes operating the same plane, so just break by Navy and Marines may have a lot cross-overs.
But I am still facinated with the idea of an Armorama Tomcat Squardon.

Anyone decide on a time frame for this? I have heard the 6 month thing thrown around which is great for me....but when are we looking at starting?
I know for myself I am involved in the Anchors Away (which I won't get finished in time), the Cold War, and the Battle of Britian campaigns.....(the last one of which I have yet to start!!!!), and I am sure that some others are in the same boat, being involved in multiple campaigns.
Just wondering on a proposed start date!!

Uhm... Dunno, but IMHO, I think we are trying to put in too many campaigns here... !!
I'd rather we go in for a F-14 build separately, and a generic naval aviation campaign laterz. I think this is better, since I did try to moderate the Luftwaffe Group Buidl, and kept the field too wide open, with the result that no plane got finished(AFAIK, myself included, I agree !).
So my suggn would be to go in for a F-14 build first, then a generic Naval campaign.. just my 2c worth. Also, I think the Monogram Tomcat that I have should be a naval one. Not sure yet. lemme go home and check...

Well to all who worry about starts and length fo time, i most yet again state that the build will start in sept no exact date, and that the ending of sixmonths later is just an idea that was thrown out for comment. I like the catagories put out by Dave as most aircraft cross over between the services. So anymoe suggestions would be welcome, as we are still knee deep in the planning stages. stug
