Sorry to everyone, but I just have to write it: just a moment ago I read the introduction post on this Forum (READ FIRST, with all the rules) and then jumped to this thread to see that you've broken ALL the rules of the forum here :-)
First - the model is finished, so it should be in the gallery, not here; than you all just write how great it is without pointing any flaws (as you should according to rules).
OK, end of complaining - I just found it funny to see such total lack of respect to the regulations :-)
And as I don't want to be off topic:
Dave, the Apache looks great, particulary the weathering (I would use a little less of it, but it is just a matter of taste), but... I think you should have used some filler or possibly a stip of styrene under the windows on port side of the cockpit. The fit of the clear part to the fuselage was obviously not perfect here and in real aircraft there are no removable panels here so panel line should be just slightly marked.
One other thing - where are decals that should be on panels in front of windshield (black rectangles with arrows and text inside)? I think they are there on Hasegawa decal sheet (I know they are on AH-64D sheet). Did they just disappear on pictures or you left them off for some reason?
Regards,
Pawel

Hi Pawell welcome to the site first.
Okay I am sorry, I never really read the introduction in the rivet review and I up till this moment had no idea that we are not suppose to post pic of completed models. Maybe I should be punished.
You are absolutely right on the two accounts for the Apache.
1. I could have used a very thin strip of stryene to fill in the gap under the window. there seems to be a 0.05 mm gap at the back side of the canopy. which can be improved. thanks.
2. The decals I left off on purpose. I have seen pic of rather dirty Apache sans these two access panel prints on the nose. Maybe I should use it, so it can be somewhat near perfect decaled.
Thanks for the comment.
Really appreciate it....

Vodnik,
Welcome aboard. The rivet review forum is used kinda loosly, I guess. Sometime they are "in
progress" and sometimes they are the finished model. In any case, Dave posted pictures of the Apache as he was working on it and asked for everyone's input while he was building it. You just happened to miss the first few. Hope that clears up any confusion.
Again, welcome aboard!!

Good work.
On the photos...you might want to use a back drop that isn't as bright. A middle gray is good. You'll get more detail in your subject that way. You camera is seeing all that white on the wall and trying to get it to be properly exposed. The dark color of the Apache is then rendered even darker. What I use is a remnant I picked up a fabric store to use on displays. Chose a fabric that has no pattern and no sheen. A dark backdrop is dramatic but again makes a subject in the foreground hard to expose properly. :-)

2 things stand out as impressive to me....... the cockpit detail and the weathering using the "yellow" dust. I like this as it gives the dark colour some fading, really shows up the detail and also gives it a nice dusty feel. With the amount of dust these things throw around when landing or taking off, it gives a realistic effect. Nicelt finished...... I like it!

; than you all just write how great it is without pointing any flaws (as you should according to rules).
Rivet Review is a great place to make constructive comments regarding modeler's submissions.
If there are flaws in a model, some viewers might "catch" them, others might not---some of this is can be driven by the viewers knowledge of the subject and modeling skills.
However "the rules" also include constructive comments of praise. This model deserves those, as well as the ones you have made. Both types of comments are appreciated by the modelers who post their work here.
Welcome to the site. :-)

Dave great Apache. Outstanding weathering and the cockpit loooks like you can climb into it and take it for a ride!
