I know I'm a head of myself here which might be a good thing .
Not very many campaigns for us WW1 nut's so time to have one .
I'm thinking of a starting date for Feb 2010 . Not sure what the details will be at the moment just dropping the idea down before you .

Any two seater aircraft from 1914-1918 . Open to 72 - 32 scale .
The model can be out of box or scratchbuilt .

If we can get enough here I'll work out more of the details

Any takers on this ..........................

Well that makes three of us then so far . Something scratchbuilt you say Mark ...............

Wingnuts has some great offerings that will fit just nice into the campaign , any thought on which one Carl ?

I was thinking on doing the Bluemax kit of the Vickers gunbus or an Albatros c.III or maybe a Hannover ...........so many options .....................

If I decrease the amount in my already large in-progress pile, I could think of a few things to build. Heck, maybe even German (as opposed to French)!

Hi Nick , you can't go wrong with Eduard or Roden ...................

Eduard are very , very limited on two seaters aircraft . The only one which is avaible is the Roland C.II / IIa in weekend boxing or Profipack ( PE set in kit ) I have built this kit when it was first release a while back ( early 2000 's ) . It's a great kit and easy for first timers getting into the WW1 . The other two which they have are loooooong out of production and can be hard to find , but they are ..................Albatros C.III and Hannover C . II both kits are a limited run base and have a vast amount of PE parts which is enough to pull your hair out .

Roden on the other hand has a few more then what Eduard does ......................

Sopwith 1 1/2 strutter in 3 different boxings and they are as fellowing french bomber , cosmic fighter , and then just a plain two seater .... There is also the DH-4 as well as the BE2c . Their are new release's coming from Roden on the DH-4/9 but when is something we are all waiting for .

There web is www.rodenplanet.cz also have a look at Eduards site www.eduard .cz

I did read your post on hobbycrafts kit of the sopwith camel , this is in my stash as well and is a great kit for the beginner and the price seems to be in your range to spend . The Part PE set which Mark has pointed out will dress up the kit big time if you are into the detail and can handle all the small etch parts . Hobbycraft also have the Fokker Dr.1 and the Spad and a Nieuport 17 in 32 scale . ...............................................................

Nick,

Sounds fine but let me give you a challenge. See if you can research and find an actual air battle that occured between two opposing two seaters. If you can find and describe the battle to me here on the thread in as much detail as possible, then I'll take you up on the challenge. You can pick whichever aircraft from the engagement to model and I'll do the other, even if I have to scratchbuild my aircraft. What do you think?

Hey Nick !!!

Having Marks challenge is mighty tempting ...........................

I've talked to Mark about this and he agrees along with it . After you have taken the challenge
and you posted ( in detail ) in the thread here . Now this has to pass with Mark though , Mark and I will send you a kit of one of those aircraft for you to build !!!! But you have to follow Marks rule for the Challenge . Take your time there is no need to rush or hurry to get it done .

So are you up to it !!!!

Hi Terri
I cant fully commit untill closer to the start date.but I just maybe a starter.
Depends on the following
1.finishing Lampies P47 GB
2.that it not effect study (Bugger)
3.Not interupt work (Double bugger) I'd rather be modelling but need money to buy kits
4.I not get to involved to much with figure building(My first modelling love)
I'm picking on doing Rodens Bristol fighter 1/48

Sorry I cant be more specific

Chris
