Hi all!
This is some pics of my Blackbird that I built for the Speed Campaign and you can follow the build there.
https://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/forums/121750&page=11
Finally the rain stopped and we got some better weather that let me take some pics of my SR-71 in a decent light.
I took her out in the garden and used an old table as a runway.
The background is not good, but the model is so big I couldn’t solve that.
These pics are taken in the daylight, but the sun was hiding behind the clouds so it was overcast weather.
But I think those pics became rather good, after all.
Please enjoy!
After having those pics shot, the sun broke clear of the clouds.
Just to be able to compare how the light changes the colour of the model, I took some more pics.
It’s very interesting to see how the light, and how even the angle makes the model look different.
The last series of pick only took about five minutes, but the model got really hot, basking in the sun!
Cheers!

nice stefan thanks for posting daylight shot and I really like the
not quite black picking up different shades it is a really hard colour
to make look convincing. Now get some factor 30 on her before she melts.
The decals turned out well too.
As a nitpick the rear wheels don't all touch the ground. should be easy fixed.
What a blast to build this. With all that sanding and gallons of back paint.
Sure is one to be proud of.

Some years ago, I planned to buy/ build one of these "black bird´s", but until now... I have´nt.
My favourite at that time was Italeri.
