Hi Dave,
I have used my own mix of Tamiya paints (blue and red in which I have added some black). I hope that the roundel colors of the model don't look too bad...
Jean-Luc
Jean-Luc, they look great! Just asking, as I have ordered some masks from Mal

Yeah the Tamiya Spitfire!
Going to do 485 Squadron (RNZAF). Johnnie Houlton's bird. He was credited with the first kill on D-Day, shooting down a Junkers 88. His aircraft still survives to-date, and is flying with Carlyn Grace.

Hi Jean-Luc,
I'm not sure now whether to thank you or not, I have been inundated with requests for 1/32 Spitfire markings since you posted these pics, and I'm struggling to keep up
David, yours will be done this week end
Rowan you had better get your finger out if you want yours

Salut Jean-Luc!
Wow just great work you did on this build. Especially the weathering is nice with the different toned color chips!

Hi Nick
Yep - that's the way Tamiya always do it. They print the outlines and you have to cut them out yourself.

Thanks for sharing your amazing build,
can you please provide more information on the masks you used? How do I contact "Mal's Magic Masks"?
Best regards

Hi Peter
Welcome to Aeroscale. It's great to have you with us.
You can contact [
Mal (Holdfast) with a PM. I'll be featuring a set of his masks for a different scheme on my own Spit.

one model".
