Justin, looks good. I've got a couple of 1/48 kits collecting dust in the stash. I may get inspired yet, BTW for those of us without access to .45 cal ammo, just how heavy is that?

Alright here is some pics of paint in progress I will probably start laying down the black and some aluminum today...

The post shading is actually more prominent hopefully it will show better when I get the gloss on it.

This is how the flair pack sockets turned out.I am mostly pleased it was a first for me so I know some things to do differently next time....

Post more soon and I like how its turning out also first high viz paint job,I think it looks more interesting than the low viz.

Looking at your build, I see you had problems with fit as did. I was pretty ticked as i expected a premium kit to be well engineered. Like you I overcame the problems. I built mine pretty much box. Added some of the Eduard colred cockpit parts for the instument panels and seats. I will have to go back mnow and modify some of the painting I did looking at your version. Just a few minor things the 2 colored reo cnapy being the most prominent. Yours looks truely amazing so far. Look forweard to seeing the end result

Well I set down today to start decaling and noticed that the wife monster had broke my nose gear off trying to get a thumb tack from behind my desk So I stayed calm and locked her in a closet Ill let her out when I get lonely .I will start decaling as soon as the fix dries.

OK, those seats are just ridiculous. Tell the truth.....those seats are actually 1/1 scale and your hand is really the size of a Buick. Come on man, you can't really expect us to believe that's all 1/48 do ya?

Damn! Outstanding work Justin.

Either Hermon is right, or you've stolen and miniaturized a couple of seats while the Navy wasn’t looking.
