Hello all,
Some time ago I got a Revell 1/72 Me 262, whose injection plastic canopy is unusable. So I bought 3 vacformed canopies by Pavla (never used vacuform canopies before, so I got more than one as they are so cheap).
Has anyone used these canopies on the Revell 262? How do they fit once they have been separated from their plastic support?
Thanks in advance and forgive me for such a stupid question!

hi Giacomo, i had the same problem with the canopy it was as though it was half formed so i binned it too, i got the squadron vac formed canopy (you get two) and once it was removed fit with no problems, can't speak much for the Pavla canopies because i haven't used them before, but if you got three canopies, you might as well have a go to see if it fits. good luck with your build mate. Ant

Hi Giacomo

The important thing with any vacuformed canopy is to cut it out a little too large and then trim or sand it to fit, checking against the kit all the time.

Michal Sinderas is using Pavla canopies in his Operation Salvage.

All the best

Well, since my thread has been unearthed...the general fit was quite accurate but see the shape of the windscreen. I don't know if it is Pavlas fault or Revells but if you cut the vacu part to the correct shape you won't be able to fit in the rear part. I would rather say this is a Revells mistake in a fuselage shape, especially in the front section. But if you consider lenght and width everything's fine.
