Hello All,
I wonder how many of us have got a half finished Kits for a campaign and it is in the "some day I will get it built" pile.
Over at Armorama there was a get'er done campaign for that type of kit, At Model shipwright I am running a dry-dock campaign for the half built ship models.
Would this type of campaign be of intrest here at Aeroscale.
The rules are simple, It has to be started but not finished a photo of the kit before you restart the build be posted and it would run 1 year. Lets clean out that "One day I will " pile.
So what do you think?
Let me know,
Cheers,
Bruce

Yes, I'd sign up for this in an instant. At the moment, I am torn between the urge to complete campaigns- by starting new builds- or to finish up other projects. Can we start it soon? September 2010 start?

Bruce, I am in for this campaign and maybe it needs to run every year to clear out my closet of the rest of the half completed rimnents.

Hello All,
Thanks for your ideas and support for this campaign.
We have 6 interested, so we need 4 more for me to submit it.
So spread the word about this campaign and lets get the Hanger Queens fixed and in the air.
Any suggestions for a title for the campaign?
I like The Hanger Queen Campaign, What do you think?
Cheers,
Bruce

There have been two campaigns run already that encompass this theme. Get the Job Done, and Get the Job Done...Again. The builds were made available to any and all subjects to make it easier for folks to join. It was suggested that it be run every year as there was a good number of folks who had/have an interest in doing so as a means to tidy up the unfinished pile(s) If you want to pick up the ball and run with it Bruce have at it. I ran the second one I believe last year. The response and completion rate was pretty good from what I remember. I know I would join in as I have "a few" that would fit the bill as it were. Took all of a couple days for approval as the suggested kits were already on hand and nobody had to go buy anything as far as kits go. I'm in if you get it going. "Q"

Hi!

Still have lots of unfinished campaign-builds, so this would suite me fine!

Signing on!

Oh, It would be great if we could run this campaign once a year, too!

Cheers!

This is a great idea... I have a pb4 that is not on my good list that would work for this.
Great Idea

Count me in, I sign up for so many campaigns get started then life gets in the way to complete. So with a year to complete I should get some of those half completed aircraft out of the way.

Hello All,
I am making this an Aircraft only campaign. The Dry-Docked campaign over at MSW is Ship Only.
It looks like we have at least 10 wanting to do this campaign, So here are the rules for the Hanger Queen Campaign:
1) All entries must have at least 1 photo posted in the thread before you restart your build.
2) Aircraft Only.
3) WIP's strongly encouraged
4) Multiply builds allowed, But only 1 ribbon will be awarded
5) Stand alone or Diorama's allowed.
6) This campaign will run for 1 year
7) Have Fun.
Any problems or suggestions about the rules? Let me know.
I will submit this campaign to the staff this weekend with a start time of either September or October and run for 1 year.
Cheers,
Bruce

I'd be in for this as most of the "accessible" stash is part built in some form.

How about "Get the Job Done.... The Return"

I like "Hanger Queens" as a campaign title.
"Get it Done..." sounds too much like a punch line on a TNN program.. (IMHO)

Hello Mark,
Yes you are right. It will say 1 photo of the incomplete model most be posted in the threads before you restart the build.
Also 1 more rule at least 2 clear photos must be posted in the thread and gallery to get your ribbon.
Thanks for pointing it out to me. Too much 50 yr scotch the night before.
Cheers,
Bruce

Hello Mark,
I am an old man so I need the 2 clear photo's to see.
I saw a campaign at another site that had in the rules that you had to show everything you did in your build. Some of the modeler had 100's of photo's posted each day.
I guess we could do that also, If you wish.
Cheers,
Bruce

I'm OK with at least 2 photos, where you started and how you finished. Anything in between is gravy, 100 shots per builder would kill the server.

As for the clear, sometimes I get this:

Sometimes this:

Hello All,
I will get this campaign submitted this week. My cousin Miss Mary had to go back to Hospital for a few days and I have been there.
Is everyone OK with the rules? Speak now or forever hold your breath.
Start time will be August 1st 2010 and run till July 31st 2011 if that is OK with everyone.
Cheers,
Bruce
