Hello Andrew,
Not sure if it has been approved yet. I sent a PM to Chuck about the status of the campaign.

Hi all

You can enlist for the campaign HERE.

@ Bruce: Let me know if the start/end dates are wrong - there's been a gremlin busy mangling all the proposed campaigns.

All the best

Have no idea what to build yet, but I will look through the old workpile of what can be resurrected and finished.

Hello All,
We have 11 signed up so I guess this campaign is a go.
Who can make a ribbon for this campaign, All of mine end up looking like a 2 year old's work.
Please remember that the start date is Sept. 15 and you must post photo's, before you start, of you restarted build. Also I set this campaign to last 1 year so more then enought time to get done.
Cheers,
Bruce

Hi Bruce

Yep, I enlisted as #11. As you can imagine, I've got plenty of half-built kits to chose between - a Ki-61 and Eduard's and Wingnut's Albies for starters. But I'll probably go with the Gustav that I had to shelve for the Bf 109 campaign.

All the best

Hello All,
I will ask for a sticky thread for the official thread a couple days before the start date.
Please wait till then to post your photo's till it is up. Thanks.
@ Rowan,
Glad you signed up. What are you going to build? I am hoping that a couple of WW1 Aircraft will show up so I can see how to rigg one. My fingers are to big for the 1/48th scale and i am too cheap to buy a 1/32 one.
Cheers,
Bruce

Cheers Bruce

As I say, I'll most likely finish my quartterscale Bf 109G-10 that was intended for the '109 campaign.

All the best

Hi All,

Fresh from the Twin Boom Campaign, I've enlisted for this one, with an Airfix 1/48 DH Mosquito FBV1. I've been doing bits and bobs to it for the last 2 years, It's about itme I actually made an effort to finish it.

Victor.

Howdy..

I'll join up.. I have a F4F-4 Wildcat that I started for the Campaign in the pacific that ended on Aug 15.. I got as far as getting the body and wings glued together before I stopped working on it back in July. (one of my coworkers got hurt and I've been working all my days off, which is why all work stopped on it.

I am planning to finish this build and when I saw this campaign up I thought it would be perfect. Even thought this build has only been sitting a couple of months I think it fits the requirements.

thanks.

and then hopefully by next year I should have reached the Camel.

Bruce,
Would it be alright to finish half a plane or two? I have an Albatross and an He-178 which are both missing a fuselage half (don't ask--I have no idea how it happened) so I was gonna try the ol' "glue them to a mirror" trick.

BTW--shouldn't the campaign be 'Hangar Queen'? HangAr being a place to store and maintain aircraft and a hangEr somethign to place clothes on? Didn't meant to nit-pick (or is it knit-pic?) just wanted to point that out.

Thanks,

Keith

Hello Keith,
as long as they are aircraft and not finished they are allowed.
No spell check on my game computer, They are still installing my new MainFrame for the house. My old one fried its mother board and I am using this system till the finished. Hopefully they will be done at the end of this week linking all 6 computers and 3 laptops I have. Then I can access all of my research and other programs. Nothing like having 35 T-bits of programs and info, They are reloading all of my stuff this week. I will then have over 250 T-bits of space with 1 T-bits of vidio memory and 1 T-bits of RAM.
I will see if the staff can change the title, I do not think I can.
Thanks for letting me know about the bad spelling,
Cheers,
Bruce

Bruce,
Seriously--it's no biggie. Just a pet peeve of mine as an old aircraft maintainer. Trust me, as a Sq Superintendant I used to correct my bosses (colonels) who worked with us in a hangar and still got it wrong. Also, spell check won’t find it since hanger is a correctly spelled word.
If no one else noticed I wouldn’t worry about changing the campaign name.

Did you say mainframe in your house? And by ‘T’ did you mean terabytes? Wholly crap!

I’ll have pre-campaign pics of my half started, half there, shelf queens shortly.

Thanks,

Keith

Hello Keith,
The name should be changed this week.
And yes a Main Frame Computer system, My old cray died so I had to get another one As it controlls all of my house systems IE: power, heat, water etc. Plus all my list of books and research. When you have 35,000+ books you need a large system to tell you where they are. It also keeps track of my kits about 800 or so, So I know what I have and what to buy for which campaign I am doing.
No problem about the name, I missed it.
Cheers,
Bruce

Hello All.

I'd like to join.

I have a 1/28 SPAD XIII in French (for a change) markings waiting for rigging- tough for me as there are a lot of double wires.

Also a 1/48 P-26, a 1/48 Hanriot, and a 1/48 Curtis JN-4Canuck.

i guess I'm obligated to do 'before' pictures, right?

It takes 10% of the time to do 90% of the model, and the final 10% of the model takes 90% of the time.
