Squadron has this model on sale, I see no reference or review on this item, my main concern is the quality of the decals.I am still making very slow progress on my academy Nieuport 17 as I carefully...very carefully prep for decal application, they look good so far 1:32 biplanes really appeal to me, not as frail.

Hi 6th Fleet:

I have the Albert Ball version of that kit. I have started the engine and the seat assembly. Be very careful with the seat, but it seems to be a good kit, and the decals look to be good as well. I think there is an out of the box review on it on here somewhere.

Best

Hi 6th Fleet

I've built the Special Hobby Nieuports – both the 11 and 16 – and I think they are very good. The resin engines are beautiful!

Decals have been just about the best I've ever used on both – no silevring and they settle down almost like they were painted on.

The biggest issue was the engineering of the struts – there are no good attachent points on the top of the cowling. So you need to do some dryfitting with the wings and struts adjusting as you go along – and I recomend putting new locating pins in all the struts.

Other than that, they build really well.

Here's my 16 finished

Get one if you can – especially if they are on sale!

Best Regards

Mikael

Semper Fi Do Or Die, hold 'em high at 8th and I! I have not applied the decals as I haven't progressed on the kit since May or June, summer and all that here in the great upper midwest. Mike Taylor at Misterkitusa. may have them at a reasonable price. He is one here from time to time.
Good Luck
