Very interesting and informative, a few sink marks, flash and ejector pin marks to deal with but Oh what a lovely subject....has itching fingers already

Thanks (Tack så mycket) for the informative peek Lars
Great pics that really wet my apetite a lot!!! I've got Rowans (Pheons) French naval decals winging their way to me as we speak.
This one may well end up in the top of my "to do" pile once I get it!
Best Regards
Mikael

Hi Larsa:
Thanks for the sneak peek into the Sopwith Tripe. I have seen the markings for this that Pheon Models is creating. Really some neat stuff for this kit. I am looking forward to getting it and building it.

Hi folks
Just started up the build, so will be back with more pics soon. The Clerget engine is cleaned up and prepared for some airbrushing. The rest off the kit got a thin coat off primer, prepared for some gentle sanding of the edges . With this kit it´s fun to take up the hobby again after all work in my garden during the summer.
Cheers

Hi folks
Starting up this build last weekend and allots of paint have gone thru the airbrush this week, I can promise you that. The engine does fit in the cover without any deep sanding, you who built the Fokker Dr1 know what I´m trying to tell you.
The inside off the fuselage painted, I use Humbrol still so there´s a little time to let thing dry up before the next coat. Also the floor is painted up and the small parts are just dry fitted to give a better photo.
there´s more to come my friends, Yep this was a little update.

Larsa,
Looking very promising for sure. Building her straight out of the box?
A nice appetizer for the rest of us

Not straight out of box, but close.I will use seatbelts and instrumentdecals added to the kit. It´s a reviewbuild for the Swedish distributor so I had to be a little quick here. For me it´s a good start off the hobby again after the whole summer in the garden

Lars:
I have this one on order from my local hobby shop (LHC), so I will be following your build closely. Looks like it's coming along very nicely.
Glad to hear about the engine (I know what you mean regarding lots of sanding and grinding for the triplanes.).

There´s no problem so far in the build. just some sinkmarks on the underside of the lower wing. No problem, its an area for a little filler and sanding. The only downside I found is there´s no decals for the instrument, so you have to get them from the sparebox.Hopefully I can deliver more pics soon, have painted the prop today and start putting the interior in place.Hopefully I have the fuselage halves together by this weekend.

Hi Terri, Yes I´m just lost in all flowers in my garden, so now I guess I can say that I have two hobbies The modelling don´t give you any suntan
Here´s next little update on the Triphound build.
As I told you there is a zinkmark on the underside off the lower wing. I fixed this before all small part in the interior are glued in place. It a good place to have a zinkmark in then there´s no small details in that aera.
I used instrument declas from Mike Grant and will use the seatbelts from Parts Camel sheet.
The first testfit on the fuselage and the lower wing shows there´s a really nice fit, I just sanded a little to get this fit. Well done Roden.
I can live will this gap, just a little Milliput and you can´t tell...
Other side is not bad.
So, there´s the update for this time. For the decaloptions I will use that Russian version 5486. For thatr I would liked to have the skis for the plane. Eduard had a resin skis. The Eduardskis will be reproduced in 32 scale from pc.
Cheers

Time for next update folks. Mr Murphy is somewere, but he missed my desk totaly.May he have fun were ever he is.
The cockpit is painted and glued in place. I added wires and cables from my scrapbox. The seatbelt used comes from Parts etch for the 32-scale Camel. The instrument decals are from Mike Grandt decals.
I used the etch from parts to detail up the gun.
Must say that I´m most impressed off this kit from Roden.Everything match perfect so far, just hoping the rest will come along the same way. If so modelling is a very FUN hobbie agian in my eyes.

Hi Larsa:
Really looking good. Your wood grain is top notch, the PE really looks good as well. Could you include some pictures of the decals for this a/c? I would like to see what they look like.
Keep those cards and letters coming!
Best
Mark

Hhhmmm the Mike Grant decals look good. Though I wish he would do some white faced gauges. His are WWII and Jet oriented.

Hi Larsa,
Great and fast progress on this one – It's really looking good. Also nice to hear the fit of the kit is good.
I've got one of these on order from Jadar in Poland – really keen to fondle the plastic of this box
Best Regards
Mikael

Thanks for your positive comments folks.Thats driving me, and as I told you before been away from this hobbie for the whole summer have really giving me the feeling off fun again.
So here´s some point off attention you will need to know in this kit.
In stage 5 and 6 the instructions wants you to glue parts 6B and 7B( marked with red arrows) in place on the inside off the fuselage.
So I did that but when I was i at stage 10, when its was time to glue together the fuselage halves and lower wing they came off again. So I found out there was a tight fit for thoose parts in the bottom off the lower wing. Check this before now when you know about it. I fixed this by gentle sanding the parts inside(arrow green)
There is a tiny opening in each off part 6B and 7B. there will part 19C fit in(marked with purple arrows)Check part 19c to fit before painting and you do not end up with some scratched woodgrain.
This is not any major problem, so I still stick to my first impression off the kit. It´s still awesome to build.
Cheers
