Hi guys, as you know I normally build in 1/32 scale but times are hard, moneys tight so I've dipped into the stash.
I would just like some pointers as to what needs rectifying with this kit, I have a vague recollection of some talk about u/c strut lengths and some smaller detail changes. For once I'm planning a fairly OOB build but would like any real innacuracies taken out too.
Any pointers or leads will be greatly appreciated.
Ta

Well Keith we have a couple of threads on the subject. Also it depends on your specific kit as to the markings questions.
Fokker Dr.I Wknd #8490 here
is a thread that talks about the plastic and some fixes.

thanks Stephen,
Tis comprehensively tells me just about all I had to know
I do have a couple of the old DML kits, one part done and a mess, one unbuilt but the decals have flaked to shreds and half a kit, how it came to be like that I have no idea, years have passsed since. I was thinking of using the SS etch struts from this, probably using one of the DML axle wings and their wheels too maybe. Still planning though. Yes as imagined I was going to build the lightning streaked J19 bird...typlical
Thanks, I knew you would know exactly what was wanted.

Glad I could help.
As to the DML builds I can help there too. Here is my Portfolio #2. Page 2 for the J.19 Blitz. w/n 2130, Fok. Dr.I 503/17 was flown during June 1918 by Ltn. Koerner as a member of Jasta 19. This is a DML kit with decals from the spares box.
