I figured it is going to have a large wingspan, but it won't be very long so it should fit somewhere..
I went back about 4 times but finally caved in and ordered it. Six kits in this release should take more than next year to finish!

I don't understand women I mentioned in passing to SWMBO about it during a discussion about WNW's odd release timing and she as good as told me to get it if I wanted. Just the size and thought of all that rigging screams *No!* to me and the thought of it getting wrecked after its finished...
I did spend over an hour poring over the instructions and pics though.
One think I thought odd...the new DV/DVa decals release dont contain the Loz needed to complete the profiles, I had kind of expected a complete package rather that *early 2011* for the lozenge, I wonder if they have reprinted it, the responses to the LVG Loz were very mixed.

Uh huh Ms Terri...laughs.
The only downsides to the new decals
1./ No included Lozenge
2./ I already painted my first DVa as The blue fuselaged option...and the most enticing one is Paul Strahles...Blue & red for me anyway...too much blue on my display cabinet. I do like the humbug one though
Waiting for my Roland to come... might humbug that one STRIPES Terri

Had a surprise package delivered to my door this morning – It was the prize kit from the Groupbuild... The parcel revealed another Albatros D.Va, and the afore mentioned decal sheets (all three of them!!!)
Richard had been very kind and also added two sheets of Flugzeugstoff with ribtapes. Apparently this was an early pre-production sample (looks very similar to the ones from the LVG kit to me).
Anyway, the decals looked very nice indeed and seemed perfectly printed. I am quite keen on Walter Böning's Albatros with Bavarian Waffenrock (the one Brad built). So in future I may do this one up...
Right – back to the DH2 and ogling over at WNWs new releases.
Mikael
P.S. Keith – you lucky man, you actually can order that big box without having to try to sneak it into the house

My SWMBO told me I could get it, but I need to wait until after Christmas. I love all these kits coming out, but cant afford them all at once. I wonder when the D.VII will make its approach...

Whats the equivalent creature in the female world Terri?
HHMBO doesn't have the same ring to it, and you'd just ignore one anyway I reckon

Mikael, common sense tells me not to order the Gotha but save the brownie points till the DVII is released it like the DV/DVa come in more than one format at the same time...

And I thought I'd slipped under the radar...
Well I guess I could squeeze in writing up a review of the albatros decal sheets, between eating the Christmas ham and decorating the tree... Do I send it to you or Merlin?

SWMBO???
Thanks for asking Edo! I never could quite figure out the acronym but not quite enough curiosity to ask. Now I know. I would never have guessed that.
Oh the hilarity of it!

Greetings all:
I made the mistake of ordering the "9ACK", I think that SWMBO got it for me. She told me to quit getting the mail because I eyeball everything. Well, we had a major dumping of the white stuff, over 20" in some parts, so she asks me to get the mail. There I find the pink slip from the USPS saying there is a package from NZ to be picked up. When I brought it in she asked what her parents were sending her, then she asked me what NZ meant. When I told her she was all upset in that she, can't keep a secret from me. I explained, had she not requested of me to get the mail, I wouldn't have known! To wit she got quiet. I am hoping she got me the HB, but not sure what she got.
The Gotha is just sitting there beckoning. I always liked that a/c, have two Aurora ones I haven't touched, but this one is one I could get into. HMMMMMM!

Well I do wonder who will be the first to actually build the Gotha? I have a suspicion it'll be bought by many, but kept in the stash by most who do get it for lack of space to display the finished item...
Having said that my resolve not to get one is weakening by the minute....

My resolve evaporated about an hour after I found out it had been released!
I don't think it will turn up here until after Christmas though. That rigging is going to be 'interesting'....
