tamiya bristol beaufighter 1:48scale would this be a good first aircraft build, i would like it to go along side austin tilly thanks for any repys david

Hi David. You will find that the Tamiya kits go together very well with minimal problems, and 1/48 is a good scale to start with.

Keep posting any questions you have, and post a few progress pics along the way, and you will get plenty of comments, support and encouragement from the people here.

Hi David,

the Beau from Tamiya is a very good kit. I have several in my stash .... The fitting is perfect and you will enjoy building it. I think Tamiya is even a little better in fitting than Hasegawa. The Austin Tilly Car is also a cute little fellow, which is good for a rainy (or snowy) Sunday. I built one myself (of course in RAF colours). And as Damian stated 1/48 scale is perfect to start with. I only build in quarter scale.

I can't think of a much better kit to start with, It really fits very well and is a good size beast.
