Well 2010 is drawing to a close, what has been your best personal build so far this year. I think mine has been Eduard's 1/48 Hellcat. A great kit to put together, without taxing the wallet and patience to much.
All the best.

I would have to agree with you Tim I've built two of Eduards Hellcats this year and would greatfully build more.

The Hasegawa 1/32 Bf 109 G-10 I built for Terri's 109 Campaign went together without a hitch for me.
At the opposite end of the scale is the Modelcraft 1/48 F-82E I'm building at the moment. Every join has major issues.
Cheers, D

Aircraft wise, it isn't that much of a hard choice, I only finished one. Eduards Bf 110E (started a couple of years ago).
Other then that, my favorite was Knight Models Mk 1 Ironman.

One of my best builds this year is WNW SE5a and Eduards Pfalz D.IIIa in 48 scale . In ways though , all of the builds which I was able to finish this year turned out really well . Improvements on weathering , finishing and pick up a few more tricks for scratch-building ! Also learn't some new naughty words to go along with the frustration , which can't be rebeated here .
Was able to review some really cool products , help out a few folks and made people smile which is the real goal in life to my maddness ! ( But don't tell anyone - Okay !

My favorite for the year is kinda tough to decide on....depends on my mood.
Right now, I'll pick Revells 1/48 TBD-1, I got for ten bucks!!!!
Scribed and rivetted(one by one), and tons of scratchwork, and painted markings.

Hi Tim
The Dual-Build with Jean-Luc of Eduard's Fw 190D-9 was the high-point of my modelling year. It's a great kit to start with, and you couldn't ask for more inspiring company to build alongside!
All the best
Rowan

If I can count a model I actually started in 2009, but finished in 2010, then my best would be my Wingnut Wings 1/32 LVG.
For a model started and completed in 2010, it would be my 1/48 Tamiya F-16C "Arctic Aggressor".
Cheers, and Happy New Year,
Eric

Well folks, my best builds? Well, certainly the most relaxing ones I did are the two below. One is the Italeri Republic P-47N, based on Iwo Jima. The other is the Hasegawa Mitsubishi J2M "Jack". Both are of course 1/72 scale, the scale I work the most in. I relaxed, and built each one over the course of successive weekends. Started on a Friday and finished on a Sunday. They may not be award winners, but I found that taking a more relaxed attitude actually sped things up a bit for me. They came out respectably I believe. Thanks for looking. Happy New Year! Russell

For me, it was the Eduard 48 scale P-39N Profipak. I got it for a song and it' goes together very well. It looks great with Soviet markings on the Olive Drab/Neutral Grey colour schemes.
