Ok I have my plan, a pair of Fw-190D's of JV-44 escorting a Me-262 into land all on a flying base. I'm ready so bring it on!

count me in, I'll pick up another kit. The eduard weekend editions are pretty reasonable in terms of price. In fact I am building their A-5 right now. I would most likely build a later model, as I enjoy their sleekness.

I would be interested, just finished a Dora not that long ago, but I think I can scrounge up an A model somewhere. Count me in.

I've got an Academy FW-190A I want to put in JG1 markings. I will have to go to Aeromaster or someone to get decals though. I hesitate to say I'm in, I'm back in school, but 2012, I think I can do it. Russell

If it takes place in 2012, I am in with superdetailing the Revell's 1:72 Fw 190 A8/R-11 (Nachtjaeger). Is the scale acceptable?

Hi Entoni
If you click on the link I posted I should take you to the enlisting page for this campaign. There you will find the rules for the campaign, the dates, accepted scales and of course the button to enlist on the campaign.
Hope this helps

I hope to join the campaign with the Dragons Ta-152C-0 in 1:48. I'm looking for a good reason to build this bird and the time frame of this campaign is the "direct hit" for me - I hope to finish all other started projects to the end of the year and I force myself not start nor buy any other kits until then. This would be a good beginning of the 2012

To the person looking for JG 1 decals, I do have a large selection from Kagero, superscale, aeromaster. Let me know who or what and I can see if I have it.

Say, it seems to me that we need a ribbon. Just sitting here staring into space, here's my first stab:
Feel perfectly free to come up with something better! I'm just trying to get the conversation going

I was thinking of some how using the Focke- Wulf Flugzeugbau AG company badge. I am not too sure if that would be a copyright infringement.

Trevor,
Great idea! Given that they've been defunct for a good few years, and given that this is probably fair use, I don't think there would be a problem.
How's this?
Again, just fooling around here and trying to get discussion going!

In my opinion, the inclusion of the FW company logo is perfect. However, instead of those colour banner's, why not a head-on photo (or drawing) of the 190 itself? The logo might be as a watermark over it?? Just an idea @):
There are a few snap shots taken in this fashion seen on several books.
If need i can try to scan a few.

Pedro,
Interesting idea but beyond my graphics skill (or program, I think )
I belonged to and finished the Battle of Britain Campaign last year but never got a ribbon because one was never designed or assigned. I just want to make sure we don't have that problem here, so hop in everyone and let's have a ribbon!

I'm not good at making any graphical desigs but I can say I like the second of Michaels' proposals, that one with the logo in the middle.

Great ideas for the ribbon guys, I was going to ask for some assistance with this anyway (Still have to work out how to add them when the time comes???)
I'll try to get my builds together this evening and take some pics to get the ball rolling.
Feel free to do likewise, the more info youcan provide on your planned build the better for all concerned and I am sure will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Mark

Some time ago I won on Aeroscale in the DMoM the Ta-152C-0 in 1:48 scale. This one:
ang bought the resin DB-603 engine from CMK. I'll try to open the hood. Of course some additional work with making the correct radiator in also planned. Except that I'll go out of the box, probably with kit decals of CI+XM.

I appreciate Michael's suggestion for the ribbon. The logo and red-white-black backround is clear enough. However, I would just add some clarification for 190's (watermark of the number itself, or some prominent part from the aircraft itself).
I am rather busy with my Yak-1 build, but as I said earlier, my intention is to superdetail the Revell's 1:72 Fw-190 A-8 and turn it into a R-11 or R-6 machine. I will post photos soon. When I say superdetailing, I mean it!!
The second entry I am considering is a 1:48 Russian conversion of FW-190 with Shvetsov ASh-82 (M-82) engine (the same engine that powered the La-5). This is rather interesting and more complex build, so I am still thinking whether to give it a go along with the nightfigher version.

I like the idea of superdetailing in 1:72 scale! Can't wait to see your Yak photos.

Mark,
Actually, it's pretty easy. Just have the ribbon image as a .gif (it needs to be 50x20 pixels, not 50x50 as it says) file on your computer then go to the campaign page. As administrator you should see a link on the page to "add/update award image" and you can do it there just like uploading a photo to your gallery. I'll be happy to send you the graphic I did for the ribbon if you like it.
Michael
