What a superb looking model Adam, and I love your style of mounting it - very original and stylish

Great build, Adam. You did a great job on the scratchbuilding. As Neil points out it is a great way of mounting and displaying your models.
Thanks for sharing

Beautiful work on the modifications Adam, and a very impessive display. I have enjoyed following your progress on this build.

Excellent build! As everyone said, you did an outstanding job scratchbuilding the rotors and all the other details in and around the Osprey. I'd like to ask you about the display stands you built for your whirlybirds. Is there an article or thread you can direct me to help me build one of my own? If not, can you just run through how you built them? They look really sharp!

Hello
As a lot people asking for bases i use for my models, here is quick recipe for it as i scratchbuild them.
Imagine that you are doing cross section of aircraft deck, so support beams will be visible underneath. I have never found right picture to compare my imagination with reality so this is all in my head.
I use evergreen plastic sheets do create rectangular shape of deck and also a support beams that usually have T-shape. Pipes and eventually cables are placed just to keep some of the corners and beams "busy".
As a deck surface i always use sandpaper from local DIY shop, fine grade, but i will leave that to your individual judgement as different scale model will require different grade.
I never paint sandpaper deck except parking lanes. I have old sanding block that gather a lot of sanding material so i only run it through deck and seal it with flat varnish.
Few plastic pieces painted in brass color to raise it from wodden base and that is it.
Hope that helps and again thanks for all nice comments.

Impressive job on folding the protors and wing for the MV-22. I also was impressed by your unique display bases as well as the finish you put on your Osprey. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
