Due to the popularity of the Hangar Queen Campaign would any one be interested in a Hangar Queen 2 Campaign. it would run from the 1st Jan 2012 for the entire year and would be a great reason to get out that shelved project and finish it off *cough* Rowan
Rule and theme would be the same as Hangar Queen

The hangar Queen was a aircraft that was used for parts to make other planes operational.
For this campaign you ( the builder) must resurrect the Hangar Queen and get it flying,

Count me again. I have several partly-builts-- a Monogram C-47, a Panavia Tornado, and a Kaman Seasprite (don't know the manufacturers, but I'll take a look tonight at home), plus probably other contenders too.

I know you won't believe this, but I have no hanger queens at the moment. I was thinking of a modification to the rules which would rely on a persons honesty, but how about including kits you have had in your stash for more a long time, more than 10 years? I have one kit that has been there since 1978, an Airfix Moskva. I am sure we all have some long term stash dwellers so why not include them? Maybe? Huh?

The easy solution is to start one of those today, then leave it until the campaign begins

Well, almost everyting in my signature block (execpt the SBD) might qualify. What's the "half" built line really mean???

Personally I would say that the half built would be any stage of the construction as long as it's not finishedWell, almost everyting in my signature block (execpt the SBD) might qualify. What's the "half" built line really mean???
I'm in as I definitely have the following
1/32 Hasegawa P-47 - Got as far as weathering
1/32 Tamiya F-16 Thunderbirds - Got as far as weathering
1/48 Hasegawa F-14 Tomcat diorama - got as far as the decalling
the plane and still to start the diorama
1/48 Eduard Nieuport 17 "Flyboys" - as far as painting
And no doubt there are more in boxes still to be unpacked

Am in too. I don't think I have anything suitable at the moment but like Allen I'm sure we'll come across something as we continue unpacking the stash since the move back in April

Its got to be an aircraft (plane, heli, balloon, blimps etc) with being on the Aeroscale site
Edit: wwooooooo Ive found my entry I think it will take the full timescale of this campaign to get it somewhere presentable
Posted: Sunday, September 18, 2011 - 08:42 PM UTC
Well, I'd be in anyway, either with my Nimrod AEW or F-22J - probly the Nimrod as that box is above the F-22 in the "to be completed" pile

I have the Revell's Fw-190A-8 kit in 1/72 which looks as if it was never going to be finished. I think this would fit the campaign rules. I intended to finish it this year but I think it can wait a few more months till the campaign will start.

Great to see the old names here, and new ones too!
thanks,
Sean.

Go here to enlist Hangar Queen 2
Looking through the stashes this weekend I came across a conversion of the 1/144 Airfix Boeing 747 into Air Force One (I know it's only called that when He's on board) so that may make an appearance too
