The campaign is not set to start until May 2012 and will end the end Oct 2012. All the campaigns submitted are given building timeslots of six months by the campaign staff depending what other campaigns are running or set to run I picked May 2012 as that was the earliest slot avaible

Sam, just for confirmation... Can we build fighters from any era, like modern jet fighters? Or should it be WW2 since the original idea was Pursuit Fighters?

so I would say that modern stuff is allowed but as most modern stuff is dual role nowadays the entry should be in the fighter role configuration not ground attack.1) Any aircraft of any era as long as it was used in the Pursuit / fighter role even if the fighter was used in the ground attack role.

Jets are fine as long as they are loaded up for the fighter role I decided to allow jets/ modern aircraft as it opens up the campaign to more people (I do know some people who prefer building jets over other aircraft types) I was actually toying with building my EE Lightning for this campaign.
Edit: Appears me and Allen posted round about the same time there

Thank you for the answers. I usually build WW2 era aircraft and only built one jet, a Canadair Sabre, thus far (I'm not considering my egg jet F-14 of course). I might use this opportunity to try and build another jet, that's why I was asking.

I've been kind of looking for an excuse to build an F6F, this looks like it could be it. Count me in!

I have an F-14A Tomcat that I've been wanting to do in Iranian markings, this campaign seems like the perfect fit.

Do we have a GB forum for our builds? Im in with a 1/48 Revell P-51D Mustang from the 339th FG.

An 'official' thread will be created a day before the campaign starts so everyone can post there build progress in there. Or like some others do you can start your own thread in the relevant forum (WWII, Modern) and post a link to your build in the official thread.

Time for a quick bump as there only 16 days until the campaign starts
Just to let you all know that Sam is taking a small pause from modelling, as such I've taken over as the campaign leader and Sam will act as the deputy if she returns while the campaign is still running.

I guess I can jump in on this one. I will be building a Tamiya F-16 block 25/32 with a quickboost seat, voyager stiffener plates, hobby decal probes, royale resin wheels and radome.

Thanks Michael, Sam's OK she just had a bit of a modelling burnout having built well over 10 kits for reviews and campaigns in the last 6 months.
