You are right, it is a long wait. Long enough to loose interest in subject matter, if your anything like me.
On the brighter side, it is all about having fun; and no big deal if your late. Its only important you do what you want to do. Just keep modeling and sharing.
At the beginning of this year, I expected to earn at least 3 banners. Never knew 3 grown children would move back into the house, and I'd loose my modeling room. I take it as it comes.
The thought of naked women always had a way with me, so I'll finish my projects; sooner or later. This "Pin-Up" is no different; I'm quite excited about it and have my project chosen. It may take more time than whats allowed, though. I'll still take pictures.

I'll sign up for this one Justin, just picked up the new Kits-world 1/144 decal sheets for the B-17, B-25 and Lanc.
Plan to go with B-25J 489th BS 340th BG 43-27653/9C 'Ruthie' and if time allows I may even try and do B-17G Flying Fortress - 42-97880 'Miss Mischief'

I'm in Justin! I'm just glad it's not a new years start... got 3 campaigns on my plate already! I've got tons of unbuilt Mustangs in my stash (you know how much I love 'em!) but maybe I'll find something else to mix it up a bit.

I've been considering an RCAF Lancaster. Canadians were fairly notorious for their fine artwork on the noses of bombers. The subject I'm considering is QB-P, "Piccadilly Princess" from 424 squadron, RCAF. For this I can select from two AM decal sets I have in stock.
For me, this would be a down-right daunting build. I never seem to be allowed alot of time from family matters. Its in my heart to build a Lancaster though.
If I choose to do such a project, I have no heroic high hopes of completeing in the alloted time frame. Only the desire to give it a go.
I've already started the planning and photo shoots, as described here:

If I choose to do it, I will not start the cutting and building until its time.

Well I don't know what I'm letting myself into, but I'm on a 1/48 roll at the moment so a F-14 of VF-111 'Miss Molly' will cross my bench when the time is right.
