Okay lets try this again, Airfix 1/48 Spitfire painted in desert colors and decaled to represent a bird from 308th F.S. 31st F.G. North Africa 1943. http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/bf443 The Corsair is not mine but I am trying find out what nationality its suppose to be. Enjoy Brian......

:-) Nice looking Mk V. One slight comment, it is doubtfull that a Mk V would have had a wire antenna, they had a differant radio fit to the Mk I/II. The same antenna post was used but the wire support was left off. Hence the plate on the post to where it was attached, which I think the Airfix Mk V depicts correctly. But hey, if you want to have the antenna wire, fill ya boots. It is always possible that an early Mk V might have had it. In any event it's an easy fix, should you desire :-)

Oh, nearly forgot, of course you just can't have to many Spitfires :-)

Hi Holdfast thanks for the heads up. You know whats really ironic last week the wifes cat chewed the wire off the model and I of course reattached it. I didn't think the cat was that smart, little did I know!

Hello csch, the kit is an Airfix 1/48th scale. I know its not as detailed as other kits but the price was right $8.00 with a 25% off coupon. I would like to try Hasegawa or Tamiya kit as well. :-)

Hi bf443:
I think the Airfix kit is the most accurate Spit in shape. Itīs a old kit but I like them very much. I think that if you like Spits you have to count at least one of them in your collection. Congrats.
