Not aircraft but aircraft related are these two 1/48 scale trucks.

I built these models to be used as props in the background of my airfield pictures.

On to the pics...

Hi Les!
You did a great job on these two Opel Blitz. They are those Italeri kits, right? I have them here also, the fueler is already built (but not as good as yours), the other one follows next year.
But why did you change the cabins? As far as I know the fuel truck (Kfz 385) was only built with the canvas cabin. And the 3 tons cargo truck (Kfz 305) was built by Opel with the metal cabin. Daimler-Benz has built the Opel Blitz in licence with a different cabin, the so called "Einheits-Fahrerhaus", which was never used by Opel.

Happy modelling!

Thanks Torsten!

The reason for the cabin change? I wanted the fuel truck to be a bit different and have more of a luft'46 look to it, that also explains the wild looking camo scheme.
I had no real interest in the cargo truck and bought it just to get the metal cab, but as long as I was building one truck I might as well build the other one too.

BTW, the cargo truck was the Tamiya kit, the fuel truck was made by Italeri.
