Nice job Steffen!
I'm glad you made your deadline.

All the best

Steffen, I really like the paint job on your Hurricane. It is very smooth and has a nice slightly faded look it. What technique did you use to achieve the fading effect?
I experimented with some True Earth fading effect products on my Bf109 build for the BoB 75 campaign. They are a bit tricky to use and I am still ascending the learning curve, but they have potential.

Thank you Rowan and Ernest!
@ Ernest: I am not sure what you mean... I did nothing special. Just a flat coat after everything was done. This brings everything together and has a nice effect as the light is .. well I don't know the proper english verb (das Licht wird am Mattlack gestreut) .. this dulls down everything a bit.
I try to photograph in natural light, but not direct sunlight ...

Hallo Steffen, danke für die Antwort! Ja oft genug wird ein sehr gutes verblasste effect nur mit Mattlack. Der Hurricane sieht sehr gut aus! Hoffe mein geschriebenes Deutsch nicht zu schlecht ist.
MfG,
Ernest

Hello Ernest,
nope your German is very good. The combination of lighting and photography is as important as the model. Some effects work better when not photographed and some only work in the right lighting and photography.
Honestly I am building for my cabinet. I want to like the look of the model in front of me... so sometimes they do not come out on photographs as good as I like.
all the best

Great job Steffen, the paintwork and weathering looks great. I really like the lines of the Hurricane but it is one aircraft I have never built and don't have in the stash. Christmas is coming up soon, perhaps it's time to drop some subtle hints about the house.
Cheers, D

Thanks Damian!
The Airfix kit is not bad and also not expensive (here in Germany, don't know about down under) so something easy to try...
