Here is my completed Classic Airframes 1/48 P-12E.
and next to my P-36 peashooter:
The rigging wires are 0.3mm styrene rod. Gunsight is brass tubing. I modelled the landing gear in the "flying" position; where the pivoting spreader-bar axle is bent to absorb landing impact.

Nice finish! The post WW1 period offers some spectacular colour schemes and this is no exception.Also have to say the P-26 is not too shabby either, beautiful job on it as well.
