Any constructive criticism welcomed. Work in progress and would like input. its Tamiya 1/48 with revell ground crew.
trying to show the cockpit. It's not quite right on the colour but i just followed the kit instructions. And hand painted the dials with a .03mm pen. Took a bit of time.
The 1/48 Tamiya spitfire is so easy to build. Really a few firsts for me. First time with an airbrush. First time with figures and first time with a base. And first time 1/48, builds before been 1/72 and airfix. Now i know what I am doing a bit I can't wait for the other kits I got for Christmas.

It looks as though your photo didn't embed properly Here's the forum code you used (change the brackets to square brackets to make it work):
{url=http://gallery.kitmaker.net/showphoto.php/photo/371616}{img}http://gallery.kitmaker.net/500/thumbs/IMAG0436.jpg{/img}{/url}
You don't need those {url} tags. All that is necessary is the pair of {img} tags so your code should read:
{img}http://gallery.kitmaker.net/500/thumbs/IMAG0436.jpg{/img}
Except you shouldn't link from a thumbnail picture (see where it says 'thumbs' in the URL above?). You need to click on the thumbnail to display the full-sized picture in the obttom half of your screen and then copy the image location from there. Simply right-click on the picture, select "copy image location" from the drop down menu, and then paste that between the {img} {/img} tags.
Now on to the important stuff. Sadly I can't comment on your model, because the link does not appear to go to the picture you wanted to display

1/48. It's my first on a base. And about my fifth build so far. Tamiya with revell ground crew.

Very nice Spit Dio, Kevin! That kit also still sleeps in my stash. The figures may have been in a Revell box, but they are originally from ICM (I recognized the pilot), as Revell has a co-operation with ICM, which can also been seen with the new Revell Bf 109 F-4 in quarterscale.
Well, you can never have enough Spitfires in the house (and Me 109, Fw 190, P-47 ..... )
Happy modelling!

Thanks. Wanted to finish it for my first show but ran out of time...not sure its good enough as I never been to one before. A friend talked me in to it. Maybe next time.. . the wall is clay cut into pieces and laid bit by bit, painted black then drybrushed three different greys. the grassy heathery stuff is foam superglued down. Roughed up and picked off with a hook. It was then painted dark green and drybrushed lighter.

Doing a tilly to add to the base. Tried the hairspray method for weathering. Blooming heck. The paint just fell off!!

For only your fith build I'd say its pretty darn good. My only thought is the pilot climbing into office by himself isn't right. Generally there should of been at least one ground staff right on hand to assist with helping him in, buckling up, engine start up and chocks (if any). The fact you have one guy there but not doing other stuff to me just looks wrong. Everything else looks tops for 1940 England IMO
Just my 2c.

I got some more ground crew to go on plus a tilly with spare oil cans in the back. Should look the part when all comes together.
