Based on building Finemolds' R3C-0 for the seaplane campaign back in 2009-2010, I can but recommend these kits. Absolute joy to build, they almost build themselves. The only thing I added was a PE gunsight and seatbelts, plus drilling out the exhausts and machine gun barrels.

How many interested do we have now?

by my count it's 10 'yes' and two 'maybe'.

It's not my campaign of course, so just my opinion - I think there needs to be some sort of tie in to the movie. failing that, should at least be before 1940 or so, Mediterranean theatre.
there were some military planes, for those who cant bring themselves to do do civilian topics, just look at these Hansa Brandenburgs

OK, now I get it (never saw the Anime film before). It does lend it self to a limited range of subjects...

Hansas make me think that possibly our hero flew a Macchi M.5? Fly Model did a Macchi that can be mistaken for an M.5 if you squint...

Finemolds makes kits of the S.21 and R3C-0 in both 1:72 and 1:48 scales.
