Hi all, has anyone heard rumor that Accurate Minatures is in process of making a TBD Devastator in 1/48th? (excused me while I drool). I always thought the Mongram kit is still decent for its age but a new one! WOW.

Hi there
I know they're releasing a Vindicator, which I'm really looking forward to! :-)
All the best

:-) I have put off building my Monogram Devastator in the hope that AM will produce one. They are producing the Vindicator which should be released last quarter 2003, or first quarter 2004, can't wait. I would then build the Vindicator, giving AM the chance to release a Devastator :-)

A Vindicator, well that could just re-awaken my interest in aircraft building. I got really hacked off with some of the available kits (lousy decals, old mouldings) that I considered Accurate as a great company because everything could be built OOB and though they are expensive, they are cheaper in the long-run...Jim

NOT TRUE. We don't know the origin of the bogus rumor but it is not true . The same rumor said something about an F-6E Muntang, of which there was no such thing. Ours is to be an F-6B, due out in November.
Our next totally new kit is the highly anticipated SB2U Vindicator, due out late-fourth quarter '03 to late-first quarter '04, depending upon how test shot progress. After that, expect no further announcements of upcoming kits until we have some kind of plastic to prove it.
Any other questions can be easily answered on our web site, http://www.accurate-miniatures.com.

Thank you all for trying to help out with my question. Buzzsaw thanks for the definitive answer. The Vindicator is really exciting and I will purchase one when they are available. But how about keeping that TBD in your thoughts
Thanks again

I have the old monogram one and it seems to be fine. Although I have not built it yet, she looks like she would be an interesting kit. But an AM kit, wow, that should be really great!

The Monogram kit is a nice kit considering it's age. The only 'bad' thing about it is the raised panel lines but the detail and overall shape is good.
