Hi
I'm working in a P-38F (Academy 1/48), and I want to create a natural metal finish with color decals...but I can't find it on web stores. Do you know any decal set for NMF for a P38-F version?
do P38-F has NMF designs? or those came just from version J?
any advice?
cordially
Javier

That is actually a good point. I think the F model only used camoflage colors, not NMF.
I am planning to build a 1/48 hasegawa P-38G and I know they only used camoflage. The J and later as you say used NMF.

Hi Javier,
I just checked all my P-38 decal sheets from Aeromaster/Eagle Strike. Sorry, but all early Lightnings (F/G/H) were painted in Olive Drab/Neutral Grey. I guess we'll only find NMF on late Lightnings (J/L). And even they often had OD/NG.
So if you go for a F-version then you probably have to paint her in Drab Battle Dress ....
Happy modelling!
