WOW - Who knew the ICM kit could rival the Tamiya kit? You're doing a great job!

Hi,
well, it can't rival. The kits have the same sprue layout and same details (like nice recessed panel lines) but the ICM kit is far less accurate with fitting, needs a lot of time, putty, fitting, sanding and rescribing. Beside ICM decals are hopeless so I also had to spend a lot of time for gathering necessary markings and canabalize other sets of their decals.

IIRC, I read somewhere that the ICM is more or less a copy of the Tamiya kit, only rougher and harder to build (as evident on the WIP updates).
Great work on the kit! Definitely not the original Tamiya "shake 'n bake" ease of build, but you've managed to make it really shine. Looking forward to seeing to finished.

Beautiful job my friend! That looks like an outstanding kit! Awesome job on the build. You are one of only a few that I have seen put brake lines on 72 scale A/C models. I have to ask what did you use to make the brake lines from?

Thanks guys for kind comments. At this moment the kit is few more steps closer to be finished - decals are completed, panels lines are washed (but this may still change, depending on the judgement of effects in the day light), few smaller details are repaired.
Nothing special here, just a stretched sprue glued on Revell Contacta applied with an unraveled cooper wire (for precision of application and small drops of glue). I think that Tamiya Extra Thin glue might be better here but I don't have it. The brake lines were glued place after place so that the joint could harden before moving to another joint.

Time for final presentation. The kit was finished about 3 weeks ago but until today I didn't have enough time to take the pictures. In the meantime with this model I have won a third place in a local competition.
