I started this as a sideline project while working on the AMS albie... But as always things are never so simple in beefland.

Anyway heres a few in prog pics. Paused during rigging due to Loctite superglue inadequacies (its crap) Rigging points and turnbuckles keep coming apart.

Thats all folks... for now.

Great work Keith,

She is looking fantastic. Like the texture effect on the Loz, and the stars and black scheme is very fetching!

Where did you get the pilot?

Best Regards

Yup , loctite is indeed crap Keith . Worst glue I have ever used . What I use now is from a company called Mercury Adhesives . www.mercuryadhesives.com . I use their thin and medium viscosity . Best glues I have evered used ! They don't dry up or thinken up over time . One bottle will last me about two years and for only 6 bucks in Canadian funds is an excellent investment I find . Not sure if you are able to get this in the UK , but what about Zap a Gap super glue line ? It's a good glue as well but if not used up right away it will thicken and become hard .

I sure do like this scheme and so far she is looking mighty dame fine ! Do you still have some weathering to do ?

Terri

Mercury is a great adhesive. It was created originally for RC flying builds.

TY Terri I'll try to hunt down a UK supplier, I know Historex sell Zap products.

Mikael, the pilots from Andreas Miniatures, he came with their resin Dr.I kit, which I bought long before Roden released theirs. It might be prudent of Andreas to release the figure on its own but maybe in resin, its White metal and quite heavy. I was saving him till I built the Encore F.I But theres a reason why I used him in this build.

Keith,

Wow! Super job! Now if only your superglue was as super. Sorry for the trials. I know you'll get her rigged right!

Thanks all, yes superglue... such things are sent to try us.. At the rate I'm going I'll be rigging for a fortnight, this kit, the E.III, a Pup and others all waiting to be finished before my WNW Trpe hits the bench....... Fails to mention the DH2 that came with the Eindecker.

Hello Keith:

Looking mighty fine. I like the pilot figure. Adds a nice dimension to it. As usual, your work and attention to detail is outstanding. I like that scheme as well.

Best

Mark
